Jackie has a background in nursing, having worked in a variety of roles both in provider and commissioner organisations within healthcare. With a history in practice development and leading on the quality agenda within the NHS, her experience includes monitoring of patient safety, clinical effectiveness and patient experience through several different roles.
Jackie now heads up the Luton service, an integrated healthy lifestyle contract serving the population of Luton and is a member of the senior management team and clinical governance committee within Thrive Tribe.
My role is a varied one that involves making sure that the office runs smoothly as well as being responsible for all the reporting and data. I also look after the Live Well Luton support team and help lead on the Luton Social Prescription project. In my spare time I’m a big Luton Town Fan and watch them as much as possible. I’m also a movie buff and love to travel.
I have 10 years experienced working in the NHS from general treatment to The Stop Smoking Service. I am currently employed within the administration team.
I cover the Invoicing and ordering, I am also Pathway Co-ordinator for the smoking team, booking appointments etc. I am the very proud owner of The Thrive Tribe Be Big Hearted Award 2015. Being nominated by my peers made feel so proud. They are an uplifting bunch of people, and I am so very lucky to work with them.
I have worked in Health & Wellbeing for 20 years and have a NHS (BSc Midwifery) and mental health background. I’ve been a Service Manager in the charity sector and have worked on various projects addressing mental wellbeing, social welfare and isolation issues.
My role as a Community Navigator is to help clients embrace healthier lifestyle choices, and engage in activities that promote wellbeing and social inclusion. I help clients take greater control of their own health, and access support from voluntary and community sector organisations and local non-clinical services.
I have worked in Health and Wellbeing for 4 years now. My overall background is in exercise science and sports performance (BSc/MSc) but over the years I have enjoyed working with more clinical populations and understanding how ones environment influences their health and wellbeing.
I Joined LWL in April 2017 and my primary role is to work with individuals to develop a person centred approach to improving their health and wellbeing. As a Community Navigator I work to tackle barriers to change one might face, as well as promoting and improving referrals to a range of community wellbeing programmes.
I am really looking forward to making a positive contribution and supporting the social prescription project team. My focus will primarily be to support & empower clients from the GP surgery in finding solutions to any underlying social, emotional or other practical challenges they may be experiencing, so that they can make positive health behaviour changes with ease.
My training background is in education & public health. I have previously worked in school, community and hospital settings.
Fun facts: I love creativity (art, poetry, singing!), nature walks and fitness activities.
My role at Live Well Luton is to engage with and improve partnerships with external organisations. I have a background in events management mostly specialising in the arts and sporting events.
On a personal front I enjoy playing ladies football, badminton and squash while also spending time with friends and travelling with my daughter.
I joined the amazing, vibrant Live Well Luton Team in September 2017 to cover maternity leave. My role is managing the stop smoking service and running excellent support for smokers.

Hi, I have been working as a specialist stop smoking adviser for more than 5 years now and I love my job, I love seeing people at my clinics and really take pride when someone manages to stop smoking.
I have a Masters in Nutrition and PgD in clinical science Diabetes and previously I worked for the Drug and alcohol services, dietetics department. I am mother of 3 charming kids and love to play chess in my spare time. In 2007 I was invited by His Royal Highness Prince Charles to attend a Royal garden party for my voluntary work contribution with the British Res Cross and I was very lucky to shake hands with his highness!
The company name drew me to this post and I was previously a community champion for chewing tobacco in Bedford in 2014’. I am invested in engaging with a variety of people and cultures. I have been working as community activist since 2008 with people from all ages and background; including people with disabilities and on international projects.

I have been the Child Weight Management Lead for the last 2 years and with Live Well Luton for 3. I really enjoy working with children and young people and I love seeing the impact of the healthy changes families make. My favourite part of the role is seeing the children’s self-esteem improve immensely. My passion has always been about healthy living but I also really enjoy travelling/exploring new places every year to learn about different cultures, trying new foods and taking pictures of scenic views’
I have a degree in Sport, Health & Physical Education and a professional background in the fitness and gym industry – originally as a fitness instructor and later working for software houses providing training in new technologies and computer systems.
More recently I had a career break to raise two daughters during which time I became involved with voluntary work in the education system and have been a school governor for 7 years. I have been involved with sport throughout my life and have represented Wales playing volleyball and in my spare time I love doing yoga.
I joined Live Well Luton in November 2016 working across the adult and child weight management programs. I have a background in nutrition and have been working in weight management for the past 2 years. I love working with people, and supporting them to make the changes they want to make. Hearing people’s success stories and the positive changes they feel and see in themselves really motivates me to want to help more people. I love trying and making new foods, especially when I visit different countries around the world!
I am the Health Promotions Manager at Live Well Luton and lead the health checks team. I love the variety the role offers, from delivering the health checks, meeting and talking to new people and getting involved in new projects.
Since a young age I have been active and involved in a wide variety of sports from Ballroom dancing to rugby and hockey. Nowadays I prefer slightly more sedate activities and enjoy getting my walking boots out for a long walks in the countryside.
I joined the team in April 2015 and have thoroughly enjoyed working with the public. I run Adult Weight Management programmes as well as Health and Well-being clinics. My recent promotion has allowed me to take on new and exciting projects like the Cook and Eat programme as well as developing more bespoke sessions to suit the community. I love travelling, exploring different cultures, good food and good coffee!

I have lived in England now for over 30years and moving from Ireland and have very strong connections with the Irish Community in Luton.
